Celebrities Drug case of Hyderabad reached Supreme court

New Delhi, Sept 19: The divisional bench Supreme Court has agreed to hear a petition on Monday seeking a CBI inquiry into the drugs case being investigated by the Hyderabad police (SIT) since July this year and issued a notice to the Centre.

The petitioner pointed to the availability of drugs in several states in the country, including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.



The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India Justice Deepak Mishra issued notices to the Centre seeking its reply to the concerns raised by the petitioner, Kethireddy Jagadeeswar Reddy, of Telugu Yuva Shakti of Chennai.

The SIT has interrogated Telugu film personalities like Director Puri Jagannath, heroes, Ravi Teja, Subba Raju, P Navdeep, Tarun, Ananda Krishna Nandu and heroines Charmy and Mumaith Khan in connection with drug cases in July in Hyderabad.
