Arjan Singh, Marshal of Indian Air Force died due to heart attack

Marshal of Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, who was reported critical after a heart attack passéd away while undergoing treatment. He was 98 years old and was the oldest serving warrior in his five star rank.

Modi, Sitharaman and the three service chiefs had earlier visited the Army hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he was undergoing treatment.



Nation paid tribute to the brave officer. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and several former servicemen were among those who recalled his long and distinguished service to the nation.

He was a Padma Vibhushan awardee for his excellent leadership in war skills.
