Sudden fall of Onion price, result denies with farmer death

Hyderabad, September 16: A Huge shock to the farmers, as the onion price is drastically down here on Friday. Due to this, a farmer has died of heart attack by hearing the news. Earlier, The price of the onion is Rs. 20-a-kg, but now the same cost as down to Rs. 5-a-KG, giving shock to the farmers

Huge loads of onion is lying in Malakpet market yard. They have been brought by farmers, who had spent a lot of effort and money in growing onion this year. The farmers are disappointed at the sudden drop in prices.



The farmers suspect that the dealers are either exporting them abroad or storing them to sell them at high rates, later. They urged the government to take action on this incident. Meanwhile, Income Tax (IT) raids on wholesale onion dealers at Nasik in Maharashtra is said to be the reason for the sudden drop in prices.
