Balkar Singh murder in 2008, by Gurmeet Ram Rahim bodyguard ; kin asks for CBI probe

Balkar Singh was shot dead by security guards of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Baba Ram Rahim Insan in 2008 in Mumbai. The incident took place when Sikh men tried to enter the shop in which Ram Rahim was shopping. The brawl was due to Ram dressing in the attire of Guru Gobind Singh, the Sikh Panth's 10th guru, and serving nectar to his disciples.
The family members of Balkar Singh asked for a CBI investigation into the matter and have approached Delhi's Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. The video footage of the incident clearly showed a security official open fire and shot Singh in the chest. But no one was punished and Ram Rahim was not even made an accused in the case.
