Indian Navy to get new Submarine soon

New Delhi Sept 13: Indian Navy will get another modern Submarine soon. Sources say that the country's wait for Scorpene-class submarine is over and it would be delivered to the Navy and would be commissioned in this month.

The first Scorpene class submarine named Kalvari would be useful for t because currently the Navy is facing serious shortages of missiles and it would boost the war preparedness.

Defense Experts said that the trials of Kalvari are over and the navy has accepted the boat.They have also said that second Scorpene class submarine Khanderi will be delivered next year.

Currently, India is developing 6 Scorpene class submarines in Mazagon Docks in Mumbai with technology transfer from French defense major Naval Group under a program titled Project-75

Experts said that there is a need to increase the speed in Project 75 because the submarines delivered are the replacement of the current submarines.
