Australian Ad of Lord Ganesha eating lamb ;India complains

India has officially lodged a complaint now over the Australian ad showing Lord Ganesh with others god on the dining table where meat and liquor is served. The ad used gods to endorse lamb.

The industry body said it is consulting groups of community to know their concerns regarding the ad. It said, it had undertaken extensive research and consultation when producing the advertisement, which was intended to promote lamb and not intended to offend.



The Indian high commission (embassy) in Canberra said it had taken the issue up with the Australian government.

Direct appeal to Meat and Livestock Australia has been made by Indian consulate in Sydney to remove the advertisement.
