Bullet train project of Mumbai-Ahmedabad ready, Modi ,Shinzo to lay foundation

High speed rail project is now ready to take off.The bullet train is going to cut the travelling time between Mumbai to Ahmedabad atleast by five hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe are scheduled to lay the foundation stone on September 14 in Ahmedabad.

The present day train travelling time is 7 to 8 hours but the bullet train is going to reduce it to 2 hours.“The project will integrate the Indian Railways to the global transportation technology and will help rewrite India’s transport infrastructure narrative,” railways minister Piyush Goyal said.



He said the project funding came from Japan International cooperation agency at a low rate of 0.1 percent per annum. He also assured that a great number of job opportunity are going to be created by this project.
