Andhra CM urged to shut highway to Durga Temple

Vijayawada, Sept 10: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered on Saturday that the Highway road towards Sri Kanaka Durga temple should be closed from 11th September 6 am to December 31st to speed up the works of the bridge at Durga temple in Vijayawada.

CM suggested that During Dussehra festivities, from 20th to 30th of September, There should be no trouble for devotees are advised to give permission to the pedestrians.

Before the cabinet meeting on Saturday, he reviewed the bridge construction works along with the officials.He instructed the deadline for completion of the works is March 31st of next year.He also ordered to enhance the staff to continue the works fastly on day and night.



He also warned the contractors and representatives of the company, we will take stringent action if they bring any bad name to the government.
 
For the construction of the Pedestal bridge, The meeting was scheduled to hold water for the main channel as the first phase from November 15 to January 15 this year, In the second phase is scheduled to be held from February 1 to March 31 next year.

He discussed on Substation evacuation process near Durga temple, officials said.
