BCCI paid GST worth 44 lakhs

New Delhi, September 09: After the GST was implemented on July 1 by the central government, the country's richest sports body BCCI paid a tax of Rs 44 lakhs.

According to the official website of the BCCI, the tax of Rs 44,29,576 has been paid in July. Physiotherapist Patrick Farhart of the Indian team has been given Rs 60 lakhs for five months.

Some players were also given part of the gross revenue from the international matches for the 2015-16 season.

Stuart Binny has been given Rs 92 lakh and Harbhajan Singh has been given Rs 62 lakh. Left-arm spinner Akshar Patel given around Rs 37 lakh and fast bowler Umesh Yadav given Rs 35 lakh.

Earlier, the BCCI announced the dates for the series against Australia and New Zealand. The first ODI between India and Australia will be played in Chennai on September 17.

The second ODI will be played in Kolkata on September 21.

On September 24, the third ODI will be played in Indore.

The fourth ODI will be held on September 28 in Bangalore and

the last ODI in Nagpur on October 1.

After this series of three T20 matches will be held in Ranchi from October 7.

The second T20 will be held on October 10 in Guwahati and

the last T20 match in Hyderabad on October 13.
