UNHCR :27000  Rohingya refugees flee Myanmar

Geneva Switzerland, Sept 9: A crisis has deepened.
United Nation Refugee Agency UNHCR yesterday has released some shocking details regarding the ongoing crisis in Myanmar.UNHCR yesterday has said that

* At least 270,000 Rohingya refugees have fled from the violence affected Myanmar's Northern Rakhine state and sought refuge in Bangladesh.

* The limited capacity of the country to accommodate the refugees already exhausted.

* An urgent action must be taken to address the root causes of the recent surge in violence

* Currently the refugees have sought shelter along the road and on available land in the Ukhiya and Teknaf areas.



* Registration of all refugees upon arrival must be made in order to ensure their protection and access to essential services.

Currently, Rohingya Muslims are in minority in Myanmar and they have faced discrimination and extreme poverty for decades. Sources say that these people have faced discrimination such as not been allowed to exercise their basic rights such as

* The freedom to move.
* Right to education, work.
* social, civil and political rights.
