Lipstick Under My Burkha, director express her views

Director of the movie ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ Alankrita Shrivastava recently expressed her views on movies , censor board, public spaces, gender equality, cyber bullying on women and women rights.

She said movies usually promote stalking as a normal thing, every movie is made from the men’s point of view expressing how a women should be. No one thinks what a women wants. She also said there should be no banning by Censorboard and everyone must be allowed to communicate their ideas freely with the audience.

Alankrita said Public places in India are not equal for men and women, as men acts as if they own the place, whereas women don’t. Women should work hard on achieving equal rights must not be afraid of cyber bullying which has been targeting women lately.
