Earthquake of 8.0 magnitude hits Mexico

Mexico Sept 8: A natural disaster has occurred today.
A powerful earthquake has hit the southern coast of Mexico.
The magnitude of the quake was recorded as 8 in the Richter scale.



United States Geological Survey has said that the epicenter was about 100km (62 miles) south-west of the town of Pijijiapan and at a depth of 35km. The officials have issued a Tsunami warning to Mexico, Guatemala, EL Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Honduras.

Sources say that Mexico city felt the quake and some buildings have collapsed and power cuts were reported.However, no casualties have been reported. Currently, no Tsunami warning was issued in the USA.
