Indian Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat grabbed attention of china

After the remarks of Genral Bipin Rawat over two front war with China and Pakistan, China’s foreign minister Wang Yi said on Thursday that India and China should ensure their ties are intact and remainded how ties between both countries got affected and undermined in the past few months.

He also said China does not know if Rawat was speaking for himself or on behalf of the country.He also added that both countries must ensure that the relation between two countries must remain on track.

The Chinese foreign ministry reacted to Rawat’s remarks and said Rawat should refer to China as development opportunity of India and not as threat. “We have noted this statement. We have noted some Indian press reported his remarks are shocking. We don’t know whether he was authorized to speak those words or whether it was spontaneous or whether it represented the position of the Indian government,” Geng told a regular news briefing.
