AP CM laid foundation stone for Lift Irrigation Project

Krishna, Sept 7: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has laid a foundation stone for Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation (LI) phase-II works at Muddulaparva village in Reddigudem Mandal of Krishna district, as part of 'Jalasiriki Haarathi' program here on Thursday.

The Phase-II works are estimated to cost Rs. 3,208.80 crore.

The Lift Irrigation Project will provide irrigation water in 33 Mandals of Krishna and West Godavari districts to meet the drinking water and irrigation needs of upland areas.



The state government is taking all steps to speed up as many as 28 irrigation projects in the state, with special emphasis on the mega Polavaram project on the Godavari.
