BSNL 5G service to be launched in India soon

New Delhi, September 07: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, a public sector telecom company, is preparing to launch the 5G service in India by next year. This information was given by Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director of the Company.

"We continue to focus on bringing our customers across India the latest innovations in communications technologies that enrich their personal and work lives," said BSNL CMD.

He said that BSNL has the longest optical fiber network of more than seven lakh kilometers in the country which can be used to provide high speed data. Korean CEO Shayagan Kherapapir said that the company will share its expertise in 5G technology with BSNL.

This public sector company has started talks with Larsen & Toubro and HP for the necessary equipment for 5G services.
