Afghan leaflet made by US forces with a Dog on it

The Leaflet distributed by Parwan province, north of Kabul was'Highly Offensive' which showed a white dog with a section of the Taliban's banner superimposed on its side. The text of the banner was taken from holy Quran.

"The design of the leaflets mistakenly contained an image highly offensive to both Muslims and the religion of Islam," Major General James Linder said in a statement. "I sincerely apologise. The forces of US were asked to apologise. Incidents like this have happened earlier also when holy Quran was burnt by US forces which led to widespread revolt, many people died in that protest.
