Receipes of varities of Puris

Hyderabad Sept 6: Do you get bored of eating fried puries. Try something similar varieties at home by preparing different varieties of puri.

Soya Puri
Ingredients :
Wheat Flour- 1 cup
Soya Flour- half cup
Soya oil -as required for frying
salt- half tsp

Recipe :
* Mix all the ingredients except oil
* Prepare dough by mixing some water.
* Mke puris from the dough prepared.
* Fry the puris in soya oil.

Dhal Puri
Ingredients
Refined wheat flour (Maida)- 1 1/2 cup
oil - required for frying
salt -as per taste
For Masala: urad dhal (soaked), Dhaniya, Zeera, 1 tsp each, somp-1 Tsp,
pepper-1/2 Tsp dried chilli-4

Recipe

* Mix maida and 1/2 Tsp salt in a bowl
* prepare the dough by mixing water and rest it for 20 minutes
* Grind the soaked urad dhal.
* Heat dhaniya, zeera,somp, pepper , dried chili
* cool them and make a powder of the mixture.
* Fry the urad dhal flour in oil, add masala mix powder and salt
* prepare puri from maida dough.
* add the urad dhal mixture to the puri and close the edges
* fry the balls.
* Remove the dough after color is achieved

Akki Puri
Ingredients
Rice flour-2 cups
salt-2 spoons
grated coconut -half cup
ghee- 1 spoon
onion-1
chili powder -1 spoon
green chilli-4-5
zeera -1 spoon
turmeric-1/4 spoon
oil-required for frying

Recipe :
*mix grated coconut, onion slices, salt, green chilies,zeera, chili powder and grind them to form a paste

* Add rice flour, turmeric, ghee to the above paste,

* Add water to make a dough.

* prepare puris using the dough.

* fry puris in the oil
