Telangana to run special buses for Kaveri Pushkaralu

Hyderabad, Sept 6: The Telangana State govt is going to operate special buses from various places to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for 12-days for the 'Kaveri Pushkaralu' beginning from September 12.

Kaveri Puskharam which occurs only once in 12 years, is a very important event to all the Hindus, which are similar to the Godavari and Krishna Pushkaralu.

Most of the Hindus visit the rivers during the Puushkarams for offering prayers on river banks, devotees take a holy dip in the river with a belief that it will wash away all their sins as water will have a divine presence in all the 12 days.



Pilgrims also pay their respects to the departed souls of dear and near at Pushkar Ghats.

To take part in the event, people from throughout Telangana are expected to travel to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the Corporation said in a release here on Tuesday.

The Special buses can be booked to Kaveri Pushkaralu from various depots of the corporation, the release added.
