AP CM to honour 127 Best teachers on Teachers Day

Vijayawada, Sept 5: The Andhra Pradesh government has conducted a program to felicitating 127 'best teachers' on the occasion of Teachers Day here on Tuesday. The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will attend the program as the chief guest.

The 127 best teachers will be felicitated and presented a medal, Rs.20,000 cash, and a Tab honoring their services.

Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who inspected the arrangements for the program at the A Convention Centre told media that previously the then governments used to organize Teachers Day in a formal manner.

But Chandrababu Naidu led government is organizing the Teachers Day in a grand manner with a view to give due respect to the teaching community.

The Minister informed that of the 127 best teachers, 58 teachers were selected from school education, 13 from Intermediate education, 51 from Higher education and five from technical education.
