Naveen Jindal granted Bail

New Delhi Sept 4: A relief was offered today.
A special court today has granted bail to industrialist Naveen Jindal and others in a case related to the allocation of a coal block in Madhya Pradesh.

The accused were granted bail upon producing a personal bond of Rs one lakh each and one surety of like amount. The others who were granted relief include Jindal Steel and Power Ltd's (JSPL).

* Former Director Sushil Maroo.
* Former Deputy MD Anand Goyal.
* CEO Vikrant Gujral.

Earlier they were accused of alleged offenses of cheating and criminal conspiracy in the allocation of Urtan North coal block in Madhya Pradesh.

The Central Bureau of Investigation in its Charge Sheet has alleged that JSPL misrepresented the equipment purchase orders and misled the Coal Ministry.Earlier he has been accused of Criminal Conspiracy in the allocation of Coal Block in Jharkhand.

The coal block scam was unearthed in 2012 and RS 1.86 Lakh crore loss took place to the country's exchequer and the allocations were later canceled by the supreme court.
