Raghuram Rajan was the governer of Reserve bank of India in 2016, he was asked to leave due to his outspoken nature. When he was asked about demonetization , rajan predicted that it will only slump the growth of country and no benefit can be achieved by it.

Rajan warned Narendra Modi about the bad effects demonetization will have on the country’s growth. He was the person who also pridicted global financial crisis in the year 2008.
