Supreme court says, it will not interfere

New Delhi, Sept 2: A petition was dismissed yesterday. Supreme Court yesterday has dismissed a petition seeking intervention in an interim order passed by the Hyderabad High Court pertaining to Medical Counselling in the Telugu States. The petition was filed by Dr. B. Bhavya an aspirant for a super specialty seat.

Earlier the joint High Court of Andra Pradesh and Telangana has ordered that " NTR Health University and Kaloji Narayana Rao Health University are free to allot open category seats in super specialty medical courses in their affiliated medical colleges in AP and Telangana through common counseling at the national level based on NEET rankings".

However, petitioners sought the intervention in Supreme Court against HC order stating that seats cannot be allotted based on the decision of university boards and Article 371-D must be implemented for filling up the seats so that both Telugu state students can be eligible for seats.

However, SC has said that it wouldn't intervene in the counseling because the counseling process was already started after an interim order was passed by the High Court.
