The garbage piled up to a height of more than 15 storey building and was declared dangerous long ago. Residents of the area helped and rescued people even before the rescue team arrived. As the landfill was across the canal, as soon as it collapsed it splashed water on the road which is covered with canals on both sides. The water swept people and vehicles into the canal resulting in tragic death.
