Woman techie jumped off from train during harassment

Vijayawada, Sep 01: Here a 25 yrs old woman techie jumped off a running train near the Singarayakonda railway station to save herself from being molested by three men.

While coming to details, The victim woman(25)hailed from Vijayawada, who was working as a techie in Chennai, was traveling to Vijayawada to meet a prospective groom on Thursday morning.

The incident happened in the afternoon when she was travelling in S1 compartment of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Express.

Three miscreants identified as Mohammad,22, Hari Keshav Yadav,25, and Sadaqat Khan,42, who had unreserved tickets got inside the train and started passing lewd comments and tried to molest her.

According to the railway police sources, none of the people in the train came to her rescue. Fearing that the situation may get a grave, the girl jumped off the train after it left the Singarayakonda railway station.

She suffered multiple injuries but doctors said that she was out of danger.She was rushed to the Ongole Government Hospital for treatment by the passersby.

RPF immediately alerted Vijayawada RPF personnel who nabbed the accused at the station. Cases have been registered against them.
