Bangladesh beats Australia, creates history

Dhaka, August 30: A record has been created by the Bangladesh Team. Bangladesh has registered first Test victory over Australia on Wednesday.

Left-arm spin bowler Shakib Al Hasan claimed the second 10-wicket haul of his career as Bangladesh sealed a landmark 20-run victory over Australia in the series-opening cricket test on Wednesday.

This victory is also very special for Bangladesh because the team has played Test against Australia for the first time in 2003, since then Bangladesh has won the Test match against Australia for the first time in 17 years.



Chasing 265 for victory, Steve Smith's Australia looked set to win on the penultimate day of the first Test after David Warner hit 112.

Australia were still favorites at 158-3 but lost their last seven wickets for 73 runs.

Bangladesh leads the series by 1-0.
