AK Bansal :Dont Beg for Awards

New Delhi Aug 29: A controversial statement was made recently.Former Indian Hockey Coach AK Bansal has said that "there is no need to beg for Bharath Ratna for Indian Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand".

The hockey coach has also said that "Why are we begging for an award for Dadda (Dhyan Chand). He should have been the first to get it. Whether he gets it or not, the cult of Dhyan Chand will remain forever,"

He said that the above words during an interaction on National Sports Day and the event was organised by Delhi Sports Journalist Association (DSJA) and Physical Education Foundation of India.

Have demanded that Indias Highest Civilian Honour must be granted to Indian Former Hockey player because Cricket player Sachin Tendulkar has received Bharath Ratna in 2014 the youngest Indian to receive the Awards.

Let's hope that the Awards committee keeps the interest of sports people in future.
