YS Jagan participated in Kakinada polls campaign

Kakinada, Aug 28: The Andhra Pradesh Opposition YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon Kakinada people to teach a stern lesson to the TDP government in the Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections by siding with truth and justice.

The YSRCP president was speaking at a road show at Annammaghat Centre here on Sunday as part of the party's campaign for the civic polls scheduled to be held on August 29.

Addressing a massive gathering, YS Jagan said that the TDP government owed a whopping Rs 78,000 to every household in Andhra Pradesh state following the poll promise that AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had made to the public before 2014 elections.

Chandrababu failed utterly in implementing the promises he had made to the people of the state. "As the Chief Minister himself announced that elections are on the cards in next one and half years, lets us develop our corporation by voting for the YSRCP," he told the gathering.

The Chandrababu government also watered down the fee reimbursement scheme, which was started by late YS Rajasekhara Reddy with a noble objective to educate the poor and marginal income students.

Here is the list of promises that Chandrababu Naidu made to people of the East Godavari district before coming to power:
* Petroleum University in East Godavari district
* Setting up a commercial port at Kakinada
* Petro corridor
* Kakinada Smart City
* Coir Industry
* Ship building factory
* Aqua processing unit
* Rajahmundry IT hub
