Nandyala By-elections results: TDP leading with majority of 21,941 votes

Kurnool, Aug 28: As we know that, the counting for the high-voltage by-elections for Nandyal assembly seat has begun at 8 am on Monday.

First, the authorities counted the postal ballots. Out of 250 post ballots meant for the government employees, only 39 were polled and all of them were declared invalid as there were no signatures on them.

The counting is taking place at the Nandyal government polytechnic college centre. The media has been kept away from the counting centre to avoid any speculations.

As the reports last came in, the counting for the Nandyal rural segment has begun. It is here, there was a massive percentage of voting. It is believed that the YSR Congress party polled a maximum number of votes in this area.

There are in all 19 rounds of counting. The trend would be known by 9.30 am and the final result is expected at around 11 am, say official sources.
