AP CM paid tributes to freedom fighter Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu

Vijayawada, Aug 25: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has paid rich tributes to freedom fighter and former Chief Minister Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on the occasion of his 146th birth anniversary here on Wednesday.

Naidu says he has been implementing various welfare schemes and introducing developmental programs drawing inspiration from the life of Prakasam Pantulu

Naidu garlanded the statue of Tanguturi Prakasam at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled the courage displayed by Prakasam Pantulu during the freedom struggle. He hailed the services of Tanguturi for the development of State.He said Tanguturi remains permanently in the hearts of people.

Chandrababu Naidu said that he had been implementing welfare schemes and development programs drawing inspiration from Tanguturi.

After the State bifurcation, the government has been facing severe financial challenges, Naidu explained. He pointed out that Krishna delta would have turned into a desert if the Pattiseema Project was not completed.

The government had completed the Project after overcoming all the hurdles. The Chief Minister vowed to complete all the irrigation projects on time and said Godavari river should be linked to Penna.

Naidu also pointed out that the government had introduced various welfare measures for the Muslim community.

Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Deputy Mayor G Ramana Rao, MLC Buddha Venkanna, Collector Lakshmi Kantham, Municipal Commissioner Nivas and several officials were also present.
