FM Jaitley : No proposal of banning Rs 2000 note

New Delhi Aug 24: A statement was made yesterday.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley yesterday has said that the government is not considering banning Rs 2,000 notes.
He also said that the Reserve Bank of India will decide on the timing of issuing the new Rs 200 notes.Yesterday the government on the Advice of RBI has notified that new RS 200 currency.
Sources say that the new notes will be circulated within a week.
Experts say that the government has given its nod for a smaller denomination so that peoples currency problems would be solved.
Jaitley has said that there was no discussion on demonetizing RS 2000 currency. The RBI has introduced new RS 2000 notes after the Government has announced the demonetization of old RS 500 and 1000.
