Samosa Enters Guinness World Records

London Aug 23: A history has been created.Muslim Aid UK charity Volunteers made a record by preparing 153 KG worlds highest weighing
Indian Snack Samosa. The volunteers have built the giant samosa and then deep-fried it in a custom-built vat at an East London Mosque.

Guinness World Records Officials have visited the site to oversee the process and certified that the mega-samosa passed the required tests. Earlier the record of 110.8 kg was set by Bradford College in northern England in June 2012.

Volunteers have said that they have built samosa on a giant wire mesh, then winched into a vat of cooking oil and hauled out to be weighed. The samosa has the following specialties

* Triangular shape
* Ingredients such as flour, potatoes, onions, and peas were used
* It was deep fried
* Retained the shape after cooked
* It got to look and feel like a samosa
* It is edible by humans
* 15 hours of work was put up by officials
* The samosa would be distributed to the local homeless via the Salvation Army by dividing into hundreds of portions.

Food safety officers have tasted the samosa and said that it was perfect.
