GHMC planing to construct Flyovers, Rail over bridges

Hyderabad, Aug 22: The GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy along with a team of officials inspected different junctions on Monday in West Zone for construction of elevated corridors, flyover, rail over bridges and under bridges.

The municipal corporation is contemplating construction of elevated corridor at Shilparamam, a railway under bridge at Hitech MMTS station, a railway over bridge at Khaitlapur and a flyover connecting Meenakshi Layout Colony to Gachibowli Outer Ring Road.

As part of the visit, the Commissioner also inspected the underpass works being taken up at Ayyappa Society, flyover works Sujana Mall in Kukatpally and flyover at Mindspace junction.

During the inspection, Mr. Reddy discussed the plans about constructing a ramp facilitating downward traffic flow from PVNR Expressway at Laxminagar Colony. He also discussed the plans of constructing a tunnel from Inorbit Mall to Khajaguda.

West Zone is replete with software and corporate companies and all measures should be taken to ensure smooth flow of traffic, directed the Commissioner.

"The flyovers and underpass being constructed in West Zone should be constructed by next year," said Mr. Reddy. Later, he also inspected the white topping road being laid at DPS in Khajaguda.
