Mumbai Aug 19: A sale will take place soon. A notice was issued by Air India a national carrier to sell 41 flats in different parts of Mumbai.

The airline has taken this step to monetize its assets.

Air India has immovable properties such as land and buildings at prime locations. The company has sought bids for the sale of properties in Mumbai. These include Double bedroom and Tripple bedroom flats.

Currently, the company has a debt burden of more than Rs 50,000 crore.Earlier the cabinet has given in principle approval for the disinvestment of the loss making airline and a committee headed by finance minister has been formed to prepare a roadmap.
