Police seized Rs.40 lakhs at YSRCP Leader's house

Kurnool, Aug 19: The Police seized Rs.40 lakhs in the residence of YSR Congress leader here on Friday.

In-depth into the matter, The police officials have raided the YSRCP leader Dastagiri Reddy's residence at Palukuru village of Banaganapalli Mandal in Kurnool district here on Friday night and seized Rs 40.04 lakh cash from him.

According to reports, the cash was hidden in the residence of the YSRCP leader for distributing to voters of Nandyal Assembly constituency.

Dastagiri Reddy had failed to produce the sufficiant proof for the cash seized from his residence.

The police registered a case and handed over cash to EC officials.
