EC about Panchayat elections

Hyderabad, August 13: As we all knew that, Digital transaction is a part of life nowadays, everyone is using the cashless transaction mode. From this aspect, The Election Commission has sought their next election would be on cashless transaction mode.

Candidates in the election must pay only through checks or online. The account should be opened in the bank at least one day before nomination for these payments. The Telangana Election Commission will bring these regulations into the upcoming panchayat elections with the goal of surveillance on cash levy and expenditure.

The letter was written to the state government to prepare for the panchayat elections in July 2018. According to the Telangana Electoral Society Decisions:

* All those who want to compete in the Panchayat Elections must first open an account in the bank or postal office. Make sure that you have the amount to be spent in the elections and get the same amount of money that others give.

* If any transaction is to be paid up to Rs 5,000, only through check or online banking.

* Candidate should not exceed Rs.10,000 in cash at the time of promotion. The bank statement of the bank and the certificate of self-attestation should be handed over to the Returning Officer within 45 days after declaring the results. Notices that are not considered by the applicants are considered as violations.
