Hyderabad, Aug 12: As we know that, The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has hiked the prices of water tankers On Thursday, which will come into effect on September 1.

In this view, tankers with domestic trips of 5-kilo liters (KL) and 10-kilo liters (KL) with existing rates of Rs 400 and Rs 800 have gone up to Rs 600 and Rs 1,150 respectively. Further, prices of the commercial tankers with capacity 5 KL, 10 KL and 20 KL have risen from Rs 700, Rs 1400 and Rs 2,800 to Rs 900, Rs 1750 and Rs 3,500 respectively.

Now, the water board has taken backstep towards the hiking prices of water tanks, because they have received objections raised from departments.

Officials have been rethinking about the decision and trying to decline the price hikes. Most of the city's water tankers will supply water for small apartments with 5-10 flats for domestic purposes. These tanks are for 3-4 thousand trips per day for home needs.

Specifically, the decision to limit the tankers' price hike for domestic use is limited to Rs 100.
