Mudragada to launch Chalo Kirlampudi Padayatra

Kirlampudi, Aug 11: The Kapu leader and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham has announced on Thursday the launch of a new campaign titled as 'Chalo Kirlampudi'after irked over denial of permission for his 'Chalo Amaravati' padayatra.

While addressing JAC leaders at his residence here, Mr. Padmanbham advised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu 'not to develop a grudge against the community which also voted for him. To browbeat the Kapu youth into submission, bind-over cases were being filed against them, he alleged.

Police were creating an atmosphere of fear at Kirlampudi by imposing restrictions on the entry of Kapu activists, he said.

"This is leading to unrest and resentment among the Kapus. They will revolt against this government and teach it a lesson", he warned.

He asked the police to withdraw from their duties on their own from Kirlampudi and permit him to take out a padayatra.

"I am requesting you not to follow the orders of higher officials and if you want to convey anything to us, assign the task to one of your constables. Do not degrade your position by directly interacting with us," he said.
