Indian cricketers visit Ashoka Vatika  in Sri Lanka

Colombo, August 11: As part of the team bonding practice started by Team India Coach Ravi Shastri, the members of the Indian team visited the beautiful hill stations of Nuwara Eliya.

Indian cricketers Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Wriddhiman Saha and Ishant Sharma visited the Ashok Vatika, a garden in a Sri Lankan village named Sita Eliya in Nuwara Eliya district, which finds a mention in the Puranas and Ramayana.



Located about 70 kms from Kandy, this beautiful town is perched at a height of about 1890m above sea level.

Everyone except the likes of Dhawan, Pandya and Rohit stayed back at the team hotel while the others left for the hill town in the morning.

Few members of the team like Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav also visited the Sethiya Eliya temple. Umesh was accompanied by his wife.
