Chandrababu reviewed APCRDA planning Reports

Amaravati, Aug 10: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials have submitted the plans to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for constructing residences to Judges, MLAs, IAS, Gazetted and non-gazetted ranked officers in the capital city Amaravati.

The plan includes 4,016 units in total, out of which 3,820 units are multi-storeyed apartments. The total cost of the housing will be Rs.1,991 crore. Out of the apartments, 300 units have been allotted to MLAs costing Rs.386 crore, 130 units for IAS officers costing Rs.167 crore.

The plans for the apartment layouts were pre-approved by officials and made Vaastu compliant.

The APCRDA will be taking up the planning, design, and execution of the staff housing project on behalf of the government. The Chief Minister reviewed all the plans and approved them last night.

He encouraged better speed in the construction of the projects and reminded the officials that every building must look unique. He directed officials to ensure that by the end of the year 2018 the capital city must be prepared to accommodate 2 lakh people.

Officials of the CRDA also reported other developments of the Amaravati city plan to the Chief Minister.

There is an increase of 40 per cent of allowance on the labour charges in the projects. The MoUs with the revised estimates would be submitted and signed by the authority soon.

The CRDA officials apprised the Chief Minister the progress in the Sakamuru Park project. A workshop would be held soon, gathering stakeholders and identified vendors. The final proposals for the iconic bridges in Outer Ring Road and Inner Ring Road will be presented within a week.
