Two flights collided at Delhi Airport

New Delhi, Aug 09: An Ethiopian Airlines plane wings have collided with an Air India aircraft at the Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi.

The incident happened on Tuesday night when the Ethiopian Airlines' plane was pushing back for takeoff and Air India's Airbus A320 was parked.

The wings of the two planes collided with each other said an Air India official on the condition of anonymity.

The fliers of both the aircraft had a narrow escape but the wing of the Air India plane was damaged in the collision.

Air India is claiming damages from the Ethiopian Airlines.

The Air India plane has been grounded temporarily. A statement from Ethiopian Airlines is awaited.

It seems that the Ethiopian Airline did not get the directions right, resulting in a collision like this.
