West Bengal, Aug 09: As we knew that, India fought against British ruling for more than 200 years for independence is often seen as a long drawn battle, developing in intensity since the early 20th century, especially under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.

The prominent movement entitled as quit India, It has now completed the 75 years.

From this perspective, West Bengal Chief Minister has said ahead of Quit India movement, She raised the slogan "BJP Hatao, Desh Bacho" at a public meeting in Midnapore.

She slammed the BJP led govt at the Centre saying 'BJP quit India in 2019' will be Trinamool Congress' slogan.

In a statement, she said, "Democracy, secularism, and rights of people are threatened under BJP govt at the Centre. We will work with all opposition parties, and 'BJP quit India in 2019' will be our slogan.'"

She had said that West Bengal is ready to back anyone who opposes the BJP.

Mamata had also called for 'BJP Bharat Choro' program from August 7.
