India Imposes Anti Dumping Duty on 93 Chinese products

New Delhi AUG 9: Nirmala Sitaraman the Commerce Ministry has informed to Rajyasabha in a written reply that the "government has imposed anti dumping duty on 93 products imported from China". Some of the products include

* Chemicals.
* Machinery items.
* steel.
* Other metals.
* Fibres.
* Yarn.
* Rubber.
* Plastic.
* Electric goods.
* Electronics.
* Consumer goods.

Minister has also said that "Additionally, 40 more products of Chinese imports may be awarded Anti dumping duty in coming months.

Currently, the duty is imposed to protect the domestic industry from cheaper imports and offer a level playing field for all companies.
