India low in oldage GRI index

New Delhi, Aug 9: A survey was conducted by French asset management company Natixis Global. The Index is to measure the best places to retire.The index is measured using the following factors

# The material means to live comfortably in retirement.
# Access to quality financial services to help preserve savings value and maximize income.
# Access to quality health services.
# Access to a clean and safe environment.

The main highlights of the results are

* The index is for 43 countries (IMF advanced countries, OECD members, BRIC)
* India ranked lowest.
* Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland topped the ranking.
* India ranked 43 and has recorded low in all sub indices

Finally, the report has said Indian needs to take many steps so to improve its ranking in coming years.
