Government notifies filing date of GST Returns

New Delhi Aug 9: The central government has issued instructions regarding the goods and services tax rolled out from July 1, 2107. The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has notified the dates for filing the GST returns forms for the months of July and August 2017.

Earlier the Gst Council headed by the Arun Jaitley Finance Minister has given relief for filing the returns. Under the GST all people must file the following forms

* GSTR-1 (to be filed on 10 of every month, details of outward supplies).
* GSTR-2 (to be filed on 15th of every month, details of inward supplies).
* GSTR-3 (to be filed on 20th of every month, final monthly return on
finalization of details of outward supplies and inward supplies along
with the payment of the amount of tax).

* GSTR-3B: interim return (Summary of self-assessed tax liabilities with
consolidated details of outward supplies and input credit).

The dates for the filing the forms for the months of July and August respectively are
# GSTR-1 - September 1-5 September 16-20.
# GSTR-2 - September 6-10 September 21-25.
# GSTR-3 - September 11-15 September 26-30.
# GSTR-3B - August 20 September 20.

The GST portal has started to Accept Registrations from August 5.Let's hope that business comply with the dates for a smooth implementation of the tax regime.
