Gun seized at Tirumala Check post

Tirupati, Aug 09: The Tirumala Police seized a gun from Maharashtra state youth at the Tirupati Alipiri check post here on Wednesday.

The police have intensified the test for devotees. Thousands of devotees from different states come to Tirumala Tirupati every day.

For security reasons, police checked the devotees and their belongings to Tirupati.

Accordingly, the police today searched the property of the devotees as usual at the Alipari checkpoint. One of the youth was found to have gun and bullets. Following this, he came to know that he was from Maharashtra.

The police are conducting a serious investigation into the reasons for bringing the gun to him.

Similarly, the police seized gun and cartridges from the Maharashtra state devotees who arrived in Tirupati on the 2nd day of the car. Now again one person is trapped with a gun and has shocked the devotees.

Brahmmotsavam is to be held in Tirupati next month. Arrangements have been made as soon as possible.

Andhra Pradesh Police officers have been increasing the security and are conducting a trial at Tirupati where they have been intruded to death in the temple premises.
