Botsa Satyanarayana supports Kapus demands

Vijayawada, Aug 08: The Andhra Pradesh opposition YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Botcha Satyanarayana on Monday have supported the demands of Kapus for reservation and 'Chalo Amaravati' Padayatra also.

Botsa said that Kapu's demands were reasonable and accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of ruling the state with the police force.

The former minister met Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham at his residence at Kirlampudi here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said reservations to Kapus should have been implemented long before and described denial of permission to Mudragada's padayatra "unconstitutional" as everyone has a right to express their problems in a peaceful manner.

"Mudragada is staging his protest in a peaceful manner but the government is foiling his padayatra, again and again, Kapu community will teach Naidu a lesson in 2019 elections," said Satyanarayana.

Earlier in the morning, when Mudragada Padmanabham began his padayatra from his residence, police, as usual, stopped him at the entrance itself.
