Australia,USA,Japan Condemn China on South China Sea

Manila, August 8: A conference took place yesterday.
Conflict in the South China Sea between China and Phillippines was discussed in a meeting held yesterday which was attended by Julie Bishop Australian Foreign Minister, Taro Kono Japanese Foreign Minister and Rex Tillerson Secretary of State of the United States of America.

After the meeting, the three countries issued a joint statement and have condemned the steps taken by China to occupy the sea by creating artificial islands and developing Military bases and they have expressed serious concern over sea disputes in the South China Sea.


Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has "urged China and the Philippines to comply with the decision of the Arbitration Tribunal in 2016 because it is the final and legally binding on both sides".She also said that "The ASEAN Member States must comply with the provisions of the 2002 Declaration on Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea".

Currently, the following countries are present in ASEAN members
* Vietnam
* Cambodia
* Malaysia
* Indonesia
* Phillippines
* Thailand
* Brune
* Lavos
* Myanmar
* Singapore

Yesterday the members in A conference issued a joint statement supporting Chinas claims regarding the approach taken by China when disputes arise, however, only Vietnam has objected the country's claims.

However, China has said that other countries must not meddle in the affairs of the issue of South China sea.
