Nandyala by-election accepted nominations

Kurnool, Aug 08: As we know that both ruling TDP and opposition YSR Congress Parties have raised objections over each other on the nominations for Nandyala by elections. The Nominations process of Nandyala by-election was completed on Monday, but the Returning Officer accepted the two nominations.

As both the parties raised objections on each other, a kind of tense situation prevailed across the state as all eyes are on the ongoing by elections campaign.

The TDP objected that "YSRCP's candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy's nomination is not valid as the Notary officer Ramathulasi Reddy did not renew his notary permission after expiring it”.

On the other hand, the YSRCP leaders raised objections on the nomination of TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmanda Reddy. The YSRCP leaders objected that Brahmananda Reddy did not file his Income Tax returns in a proper manner.

Accepting the both the nominations, the Elections Returning Officer announced that both Mohan Reddy and Brahmananda Reddy filed the nominations as per the elections rules. The Returning Officer observed that though the notary officer's signature is valid or not would be verified in the Courts if the TDP file a case on it.

At the same time, Chief Election Officer of Andhra Pradesh Bhanwar Lal explained on the validity of notary attestation that, the decision of Returning Officer was final. He observed that, however, if anybody had any objections on it, they could go to Court and lodge case.
