PM Modi Celebrates Raksha Bandhan With 103-year old Woman

New Delhi, August 07: The festival of Raksha Bandhan is being observed on Monday across the country.

Today every sister ties Rakhi to her brother. Many celebrities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind, celebrated this festival. But there was also a story that won the hearts of everyone.

Prime Minister Modi called the 103-year-old widow Sharabati Devi at her residence and held Rakhi from her. His photo was also posted on behalf of the PMO. Sharabati Devi had lost her brother 50 years ago, after which this time her son wrote a letter to the PM and said this thing. Modi invites him and Rakhi Bandwani.

Prior to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated this festival by organizing Rakhi with the school children in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. India's President Ramnath Kovind celebrates this festival with Rakhi Bandh by having children in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
