CM Palaniswami : Merger of factions in AIADMK Soon

Chennai Aug 7: The politics of A state have once again become a hot topic.K Palaniswami Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and leader of AIADMK (Amma) faction, today has said that "he expected to see the much anticipated but delayed merger of the two factions in the ruling party soon".

He has said the above statements to media but didn't elaborate on the merger dates.His comments assume significance because recently
O Panneerselvam the rival led Puratchi Thalaivi Amma faction stating that it had not heard from the Amma camp on the merger talks.

Sources said that mergers talks are going on informally since last 2 months and it is held under the purview of BJP top leaders so that the AIADMK merged would join NDA.

CM 's remarks today also assume significance because recently
T T V Dhinakaran Chinama's aide and sidelined deputy general secretary has said that there would be no merger because the 60-day deadline set for the merger of the two factions has expired.

Experts say that the merger is a challenging task because TTV Dinakaran and Shasikala (who is in jail) are not interested in the merger.However, they predict that CM would is working on a strategy to by pass the two key leaders so that merger would be possible soon.
